THE PROGRAMS UNDER FAITH FORMATION ARE:
- SUNDAY SCHOOL
RA currently offers Religious Education for grades 1 – 7.
Sunday School is an opportunity for children to gather, learn, and discuss
their faith with their peers. Sacramental preparation is incorporated into these classes.
Children should come to Sunday school every school year because faith formation
is an ongoing process. Registration forms must be filled out each year you
register.
Our classes are led by dedicated Catechists who joyfully volunteer their
time each week. They have responded to Christ’s call to serve and preach
the Gospel. Students are greeted in a friendly atmosphere where they learn
how much Jesus loves them.
Jesus said, “Let the little
children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven
belongs to such as these.” Matthew
19:14

- PRAYER GROUPS
The purpose of a prayer group is to help one another to grow in relationship to
God through reflection on Sacred Scripture and faith-sharing. In this way
small faith-sharing communities help to develop discerning hearts open to the
on-going call to conversion. For prayer groups that meet at different times
during the year, please consult the bulletin for dates.
- RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
The RCIA is the process by which adults enter the Catholic Church. As a process
of conversion, the team members help, support and encourage the spiritual
journey of each person in responding to the Lord’s call to “come and see.” The
goal is discipleship into the Christian way of life. The language of becoming a
disciple is the language of the heart. It is about human interaction,
prayer, intellectual study, the people in our lives, the
people of the Sacred Scriptures, and the people in the Church. There are
celebrations along the way to reaching the glorious Easter Vigil where together
with the parish community we celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation
and Eucharist. It is a learning and loving process where the Spirit leads you to
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
